Lightly coat your air fryer tray with olive oil and preheat it to 390 degrees.
Whisk the egg in a small bowl. Then, combine the panko and Old Bay in another shallow bowl.
Dip the shrimp into the egg and give it a gentle shake to remove the excess. Then, dip it into the panko. Repeat for all the shrimp, placing them in the air fryer tray as you go.
Be sure to leave a little space between the shrimp on the tray. Then, air fry for 8 to 9 minutes until crispy and cooked through.
Cook ¼ cup of hot honey in a saucepan over low heat until it thins.
Toss the shrimp in the hot honey or serve it on the side for dipping.
Notes
Storage
Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
For longer storage, freeze for up to 2 months in an airtight, freezer-safe container or heavy-duty freezer bag.
To reheat the shrimp, defrost overnight in the fridge if frozen. Then, microwave individual portions at 1-minute intervals until heated through.
Tips on Shrimp
It's best to defrost your shrimp overnight in the refrigerator.
For faster defrosting, place the shrimp bag in a bowl of cold water.
NEVER defrost shrimp at room temperature or in hot water.
If using fresh shrimp, choose those that are firm and bright with a fresh, ocean smell. They should never be soft or smell like fish.
