Wash and Pat dry the chicken wings. Then place the chicken wings into a large bowl. A small bowl will work if you do not plan to make a full batch.
Evenly coat, the chicken wings with the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic, salt, thyme, black pepper, salt, and onion powder.
Once everything has been coded nicely lay the chicken wings evenly on a baking tray. Be careful not to overlap the chicken wings.
Place the chicken wings in the oven and bake for 22 to 30 minutes. Baking time will depend on the size of your chicken wings and the temperature of your oven. My wings typically finish around 24 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
Use a meat thermometer to make sure they reach an internal temperature reaches 165° before removing them from the oven.
Notes
Tips:
To ensure even distribution of your spices, mix them in a bowl before tossing them with the wings.
For more flavor, brush the wings with any remaining sauce with a pastry brush right before serving.
Pat your wings dry thoroughly before tossing them with the seasoning. This ensures the crispiest wings possible.
Reheat in the microwave at 30 second intervals until the wings are hot.
Cover your wings with aluminum foil to keep them warm while serving.
Storage:
You can store these in an airtight container in the fridge for 3 to 4 days after making them.
I would not recommend putting these leftovers in the freezer, but you can keep raw wings frozen until you cook them.
