Why you will love this Recipe

    • Packed with Protein. For this brownie base, we are using Naked Nutrition’s Naked Brownie mix, so no need to pull all the baking supplies out of the pantry. Naked Brownie is a high-protein, low-sugar brownie baking mix that starts with a premium whey concentrate protein.
    • Free of refined sugars and contains coconut sugar, sea salt, and other natural ingredients to create decadent, guilt-free brownies that’ll help you increase protein intake for more energy, a stable appetite, and better post-workout recovery.
    • Each serving of Naked Nutrition Naked Brownie provides 15g of protein, 9g of sugar, and 230 calories for a balanced and satisfying protein treat. Naked Nutrition Naked Brownie is gluten-free, soy-free, and Non-GMO.
    • These brownies are so easy to make, everything comes together in one bowl! That’s right, no mixer is needed, and no crazy extra steps! Peanut butter stuffed brownies are delicious when served warm, with a melted peanut butter center.
    • They are delicious when served at room temperature, and they are even delicious when served right out of the fridge for a more creamy peanut butter center.

    Ingredients

    • Naked Nutrition Naked Brownie mix. We are using Naked Nutritions Naked Brownie mix to keep these brownies grain free and packed with protein.
    • Water: water is what’s going to lend moisture to the brownie batter.
    • Peanut Butter: The creamy, delicious center

    Instructions

    An hour before baking

    • Place peanut butter into a pot and heat on low.
    • Stir well until melted and remove from heat.
    • Line an 8x8 baking pan with wax paper.
    • Pour melted peanut butter into the lined baking pan and place into the freezer.
    • Freeze for at least one hour.

    Baking and Serving

    • Preheat oven to 350°F.
    • In a large bowl, combine Naked Nutrition Naked Brownie mix and water. Stir until combined.
    • Remove the 8x8 pan from the freezer and then remove the wax paper with peanut butter.
    • Line the 8x8 pan with parchment paper.
    • Then, pour half of the brownie batter into the pan.
    • Remove the peanut butter from the wax paper and place on top of the brownie batter.
    • Last, pour the remaining brownie batter on top of the peanut butter.
    • Bake at 350°F for 20-23 minutes.

    Top Tips

    • Do not overbake the brownies. No one wants crispy brownies! The baking time of Naked Nutritions Naked Brownie mix is spot on and y works well in all ovens.
    • Use regular commercial peanut butter for the best results and a creamy center.
    • Make sure your peanut butter is frozen before placing it in between the two layers of brownies.

    Creamy Peanut Butter Center

    • The key to these protein-packed, peanut butter-stuffed brownies is the creamy peanut butter center. To achieve this, we are freezing a layer of peanut butter on wax paper (for easy removal) in the freezer for one hour. This ensures that the layer of peanut butter doesn’t mix into the brownie batter, but is instead baked evenly in the center of these fudgy brownies. This will give us the end result that reflects something like Reese’s, yet it’s peanut butter sandwiches in between 2 brownie layers.

    Choosing a peanut butter

    • I do recommend using more commercial peanut butter that has less oil on the top. Commercial peanut butter usually has stabilizers in them that will keep it from separating during the baking process. While I’m a fan of natural peanut butter at almost all times, this is a recipe that does require a more commercialized peanut butter for the best results.

    FAQ

    Can you freeze brownies?

Absolutely, wrap them in a freezer-friendly wrap, then place them into an airtight container. These can be kept frozen for up to 3 months. To thaw out, just allow them to come to room temperature.

What if I only have natural peanut butter?

If natural peanut butter is all that you have, of course, you can use it. Just be sure to mix the entire jar of peanut butter thoroughly, mixing in all of the access oils.

What if I have a nut allergy?

If you have a nut allergy, you can easily swap out the peanut butter for something like sun butter or cashew butter.

Just want a small batch of brownies?

That’s perfectly fine, just cut this recipe in half! Since it doesn’t call for ingredients like eggs, cutting it in half is easily done.
