Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- Easy Process - Brownies are among the easiest homemade baked goods to create, and these salted caramel pecan brownies couldn’t be more simple. This is a fun recipe to get the kids into the kitchen and have them help. Don’t forget to lick the spoon!
- Familiar Flavors - If you love the combination of caramel and pecans of turtles, you’ll love these turtle brownies.
- Texture - If you are a team chewy and moist brownie, these are going to be the brownies of your dreams. No one will believe they’re gluten-free when they take a bite.
Ingredients
- Gluten-Free Flour - Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free 1 to 1 Baking Flour is my go-to. It makes it easy to measure without having to add any additional starches or flours.
- Espresso Powder - In addition to adding depth of flavor this also makes the chocolate taste even more chocolatey.
- Cocoa Powder
- Butter
- Milk Chocolate Chips - In addition to adding texture to the brownies, some of the chocolate chips are melted and stirred into the batter making these brownies extra rich and decadent.
- Vanilla Extract - Use the highest quality vanilla for the most pronounced flavor. The higher the quality of the vanilla, the more pronounced the sweet and slightly floral flavor. It gives depth to the cake.
- Sugar - You’ll need both white sugar and brown sugar for this recipe. In addition to giving a more layered flavor profile, the molasses in the brown sugar add moisture and helps give these brownies their texture.
- Eggs
- Egg Yolk - Adds additional luxurious flavor to these brownies.
- Vegetable Oil - This gives the brownies their texture and moisture while keeping a neutral flavor that doesn’t compete with any of the ingredients.
- Salt
- Crushed Chocolate - Can there ever be enough chocolate? This gives another layer of chocolate flavor as well as texture.
- OliveNation Caramel Filled Mini Cups - These mini caramel white chocolate cups are filled with a caramel making them a one two punch of chocolate’s best friend.
- Pecans - These add crunch to every bite. In fact they’re not just in the batter but also finish off the top of these turtle brownies.
- Salted Caramel Sauce - Just like you can’t have enough chocolate, don’t forget the drizzle or downpour of salted caramel sauce at the end!
