    Easy, air fryer sweet chili honey garlic chicken skewers

    Air fryer sweet chili honey garlic chicken is a delicious and healthy dish that's perfect for those who want a quick and easy meal. This dish is crispy, and flavorful, and can be made in just a few simple steps.

    Serve the garlic chicken hot with your favorite sides, such as roasted potatoes or steamed veggies. This dish is perfect for a cozy night in, a dinner party, or a gameday bash alongside other easy options like these burger skewers or grilled chicken tenderloins.

    Ingredients

    • Boneless/skinless smfchicken chicken thighs 
    • Garlic chili 
    • Sweet chili sauce 
    • Honey 
    • Tamari 
    • Siracha 
    • Garlic olive oil 
    • Lime juice 
    • Sugar 
    • Ginger

    Instructions

    • Slice chicken into cubes about 2 inches large. 
    • Place all chicken into a large bowl. 
    • Combine all marinade ingredients and mix well in a small bowl. 
    • Pour marinade over chicken and mix well. Cover bowl, then store in fridge for 30 minutes to 3 hours. 
    • Place chicken onto skewers leaving a little space at each end of the skewer. 
    • Place into air fryer on 360 degree for 10 minutes. Flip, then brush with extra marinade. 
    • Air fry for another 8-10 minutes until chicken reaches 170 degrees. To get extra crispy ends, you can always place on 400 degrees for 2-3 minutes at the end. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion. 
    • These go great with potatoes or steamed veggies!

    Storage

    To store leftover garlic chicken, make sure to let it cool down to room temperature before placing it in an airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.

    When reheating the garlic chicken, make sure to do so thoroughly to ensure it's heated all the way through. You can reheat it in the microwave, oven, or on the stovetop, depending on your preference.

    However, keep in mind that reheating the chicken multiple times may affect its texture and flavor. It's best to reheat only what you plan on eating to maintain its quality.

    Top tip

    If using wooden skewers, be sure to soak in water for 30 minutes prior to using. In addition, add sesame seeds and green onions to the final dish, to take off the taste.

    Can I freeze the Air fryer honey garlic chicken?

    If you plan on freezing the garlic chicken, make sure to do so within 2 hours of cooking. Place it in a freezer-safe container or resealable plastic bag, making sure to remove as much air as possible. Label the container with the date and freeze it for up to 2-3 months.

    Marinade

    • 1 tablespoon Minced chili garlic
    • 2 tablespoon sweet chili sauce gluten free
    • 2 tablespoon honey
    • 2 tablespoon tamari gluten free
    • 1 teaspoon sriracha
    • ½ tablespoon garlic olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon lime juice
    • ½ teaspoon brown sugar
    • ¼ teaspoon ginger ground

    Instructions
