    Why You'll Love This Recipe

    • Best of three worlds: Super moist brownies combined with an oreo cookie and chocolate peanut butter Reese's. What's not to love about these?
    • Candy Bars: Can you think of anything better than stuffing Reese's and Oreos into a brownie? No. The answer is no.
    • Simple Ingredients: You'll only need a few basic ingredients to make these brownies.
    • Easy: This is a simple recipe that even beginners can make. Simply layering your ingredients into a square baking pan to get the ultimate fudgy brownie.

    Ingredients

    • Gluten-Free Flour: I use Bob's Red Mill 1:1 gluten-free flour. I find it gives baked goods the best texture.
    • Butter Olive Oil: I use Costabile butter olive oil to add more moisture and buttery flavor to the brownies. I prefer Costabile for its quality and purity. Use code: 15GoldenGK for 15% off.
    • Dutched Cocoa Powder: I use OliveNation 22/24 Fat Dutched cocoa powder to add rich, deep chocolate flavor without bitterness. OliveNation is my preferred brand for its quality, purity, and rich flavor. Use code: NK15 for 15% off.
    • Semi-Sweet Chocolate: Melted semi-sweet chocolate adds even more rich chocolate flavor.
    • Vanilla Extract: I use Singing Dog Vanilla for rich, deep vanilla flavor and the highest possible quality.
    • Reese's Cups and Oreos: Reese's Cups add a burst of peanut butter and chocolate to each bite, and Oreos add the combination of chocolate and creamy filling to the brownies.

See the recipe card at the end of the post for a full list of ingredients and their exact quantities.

    Flavor Variations

    • No Candy: If you prefer plain brownies, just leave out the candy.
    • Nuts: Try adding chopped nuts for more flavor and texture.
    • Candy Bars: Use your favorite chopped candy bars in this recipe. They all work and create all kinds of brownie flavors.
    • Halloween: Top these brownies with melted marshmallow strands to create delicious spider web brownies.

    Instructions

1: Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and olive oil, stirring constantly until melted.

    Hint

Line the bottom and sides of your pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on each side to act as handles. This allows you to easily remove the brownies for slicing.

    Storage

Store these easy slutty brownies in an air-tight container for up to 4 days at room temperature. You can refrigerate them for up to a week in an air-tight container. For longer storage, freeze them for up to 2 months in an air-tight, freezer-safe container or individually wrap them in plastic wrap and freeze in a heavy-duty freezer bag.

Defrost the brownies on the counter before serving.

    Pairing Ideas

Brownies are a classic dessert after meals like these air fryer pork chops, chicken bacon mushroom pasta, or burgers.

You can also serve them alongside other sweet treats like walnut apple butter cookies, vanilla cupcakes, or chocolate chip muffins for a larger dessert spread at parites and gatherings.

    Expert Tips

    • Stir the semi-sweet chocolate and olive oil continuously while melting it to prevent scorching.
    • Bring your eggs to room temperature. This allows for easy mixing and gives the brownies a better texture.
    • When adding the Reese's layer, gently press them down until only the tops are visible. This ensures they're completely covered by the remaining brownie batter.
    • Let your brownies cool for a full hour before removing them and cooling them on a wire rack.
    • Be sure your brownies are completely cool before slicing so they hold their shape.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I use Dutched cocoa powder?

Dtuched cocoa powder is treated with an alkaline solution to neutralize its natural adicidity. What this means for your baked goods is depper, more intense chocolate flavor, more color, and better texture, all without any bitterness.

What if I don't have Dutched cocoa powder?

Any cocoa powder will work for these brownies, I just prefer the flavor and texture that Dutched cocoa adds to them.

Can I use regular flour instead of gluten-free flour in these brownies?

Yes, you can. Regular flour works perfectly in these brownies.

Why don't these brownies have butter?

I use a butter olive oil in place of butter to add more healthy fat and eliminate saturated fat. The butter olive oil still gives that nice buttery flavor, while keeping them healthier.

    What is a slutty brownie?

Well as much as I despise the name, they have become quite popular. The urban dictionary says They are brownies that don't know they are loved so they share themselves with everyone. I just like to say they are brownies that have been made with other ingredients one wouldn't normally use to create the ultimate brownie dessert!

Can I use a box brownie mix?

Absolutely, a boxed brownie mix works just fine for this recipe. Just be sure to use gluten free if you have an issue with gluten.

    • Small saucepan
    • 8x8 baking dish
    • Wire cooling rack
    • Parchment Paper

    Ingredients

    • 1 cup Bob's Red Mill 1:1 Gluten-Free Flour
    • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate
    • 4 oz milk chocolate bar crushed
    • ½ cup Costabile butter olive oil
    • ¼ cup OliveNation 22/24 fat Dutched cocoa powder
    • 4 eggs room temperature
    • 1 cup sugar
    • ½ cup brown sugar
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • 2 teaspoon Singing Dog vanilla extract
    • 16 Reese's Cups
    • 16 Gluten-free Oreos

    Instructions

    • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees and line the bottom and sides of an 8x8 pan with parchment paper.
    • Melt the semi-sweet chocolate and the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium low heat, stirring constantly until creamy. Set aside.
    • Whisk the cocoa powder, flour, and salt in a medium bowl.
    • Beat the eggs, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla until combined.
    • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, including the melted chocolate, and mix with a rubber spatula until just combined. Do not overmix.
    • Fold in the chopped chocolate bar until combined. Do not overmix.
    • Line the bottom of the prepared pan with 16 Oreos.
    • Pour half the batter into the pan and spread it evenly.
    • Add 16 Reese's Cups in a single layer to the batter, pressing them down until just the tops show.
    • Pour the remaining batter into the pan and spread it evenly. Then, press more chopped Oreos into the top.
    • Bake the brownies for 33 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out mostly clean with just a few moist crumbs. At this point, the top will begin to crack.
    • Cool the brownies in the pan for an hour. Then, transfer them to a wire cooling rack and cool completely.
    • Slice the cooled brownies and enjoy.

    Notes

    • I highly recommend using butter olive oil for these brownies to give them an extra-rich flavor. However, you can use regular olive oil if you don't have it.
    • Be sure to melt the chocolate and olive oil over low heat and stir constantly to prevent scorching.
    • Leave an overhang on either side or your pan when you line it. Those flaps can be used as handles to easily remove the brownies later before slicing.
    • Let your brownies fully cool before slicing them. This ensures they're nice and firm, giving you clean edges.
    • Use a sharp knife to cut the brownies and use minimal pressure. Letting the sharp knife do the work will prevent crushing.
    • Store these brownies in an airtight container for up to a week at room temperature.
    • To keep your brownies from drying out, add a piece of white bread to the container. The moisture from the bread will keep the brownies moist and soft.
    • NEVER refrigerate your brownies unless they're made with cream cheese or frosted with cream cheese frosting. The cold air of the refrigerator dries them out.

I'm with you on the word "slutty", though maybe we should just claim it back and make it ours? I mean, technically I am a slut, though I prefer polyamorous, but hey.
So clearly, these brownies are made for me and I intend to eat them all! Ok...maybe my partners get one each. But just one!
