These glazed air fryer thin pork chops are the best you will have! The flavor is impeccable, and they come out so tender and moist! With just a few pantry staples you can have these on the dinner table in under 15 minutes, tops!
Air fryer cooking is not something I was keen on right away. In fact, it was my daughter that convinced me to buy one. But let me tell you, boy, am I glad she did! Not only does the air fryer get things done quickly, but air fryer cooking is healthier than frying. They are so quick and easy to use. And my favorite is all, is they are easy to clean!
For this air fryer pork chop recipe, I am using ½-inch thick pork chops. Now of course you can use larger ones, but the cooking time would need to be adjusted as they do take longer.
These air fryer pork chops are made using a rub with just a few pantry staples that you would already have in your home. I do use garlic infused Costabile Organic olive oil. You can use code 15GOLDENGK for 15% off! Then I use a combination of brown sugar, paprika, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, ground mustard, and salt and pepper. This creates a flavorful coating on the pork with every bite.
Ingredients
Pork chops: I am using ½-inch thick pork chops.
Brown sugar and Mustard: They create a flavorful coating on the pork with every bite.
Salt: Never forget to add salt to the recipe. Forgetting salt is like forgetting to put clothes on before going to work! It’s essential here!
Thyme, Onion, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika: A nice touch of flavor
Garlic olive oil: It really adds an extra authentic flavor to the recipes. Trust me on this one!
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 °F degrees.
- Make sure to rinse your pork chops with cold water then pat completely dry with a paper towel.
- In a small bowl, mixed together, all seasoning ingredients minus the olive oil.
- Once you have the seasonings combined, pour in the olive oil, and mix well. It should be similar to a thick paste.
- When you have done this, coat the pork chops with your rub. Be certain to rub into the pork chop and cover well on both sides.
- Place pork chops in the air fryer being certain to leave a small space in between each pork chop. Putting pork chops too close to one another will cause them to steam. Cook at 400 °F for 5 minutes, then flip all of the pork chops and cook again for 4-5 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 145 °F degrees.
Equipment
Air fryer: Can be used to cook pork chops quickly and with minimal oil, making them a healthier choice or reducing their fat intake.
Top tips
- Make sure to preheat your air fryer. This step is very important, preheat for 3 minutes at 400 °F.
- Be certain to place the pork chops in the air fryer with a small space between each one. If the pork chops are touching, they won’t reach their full crispy potential.

FAQ
Do I need to flip my pork chops in the air fryer?
It's a good idea to flip the pork chops halfway through cooking to ensure even browning on both sides.
Can I cook frozen thin pork chops in the air fryer?
Yes, you can cook frozen pork chops in the air fryer. However, you will need to adjust the cooking time to ensure they cook all the way through. It's recommended to cook frozen pork chops at 375°F for 20-25 minutes, flipping them over halfway through cooking. Although the texture may differ slightly and I don't recommend it.

I like to use bone in chops. How does this effect the cooking time and/or temp?
NKendrick says
Hello! For bone in, you will want to cook them on 400 degrees for 10-13 minutes. The time will vary depending on the thickness of your pork chops. They will be done then the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees.

This is a tasty spice combination for pork chops! I don't have an air fryer but I was eager to make this recipe so used my convection oven. I kept an eye on the pork chops while they cooked and checked the temperature to make sure they were done. It look a little longer in my oven than the time listed in the recipe. But not by much. I served them with baked potatoes and a big salad. Wonderful recipe!

Great recipe! I'm new to the air fryer and I'm not a fan of pork chops. My boyfriend likes them so I've tried to make them all different ways. I had thin bone in pork chops. Followed the recipe exactly (except I only had smoked paprika so I used a little less)and cooked them for 5 min. each side. They were juicy and moist and the seasoning rub was really good. Boyfriend loved them and was surprised at how much I like them. I'll be looking for more of your recipes!
