What is simple syrup?
Simple syrup is granulated sugar and water brought to a boil and then simmered until the sugar dissolves and it thickens into a syrup. By combining strawberries and vanilla bean, you get this perfect simple syrup.
It's a key ingredient in many cocktails as it's an easy way to add a touch of sweetness and flavor to drinks, coffees and desserts.

- Strawberries - You can substitute strawberry any type of berry, fruit puree, or herb.
Variations
- Simmer an herb like basil or mint with the strawberries
- Add a few slices of fresh orange for a strawberry orange syrup.
- Simmer with dried rose petals or lavender buds for a strawberry syrup with a floral touch.
- Add a spice like cinnamon, for a fruity syrup with a little spice.
Storage
You should always store your simple syrups in a syrup dispenser like this one https://amzn.to/3YacKG4or in a mason jar. When stored properly, it should stay fresh for at least a month.
