- Seasonings - use your favorite seasoning blends in the same quantities listed above
Air Fryer Variations
- Spicy - add chili pepper flakes or chili oil to seasonings
- Thai Curry - omit seasonings and rub chicken with 3 TBS thai curry paste and serve with coconut rice
- Mediterranean - omit seasonings and rub chicken with 3 TBS each of tahini and Za'atar seasoning
Equipment
An air fryer is recommended for this recipe, but you can certainly use your oven. Place chicken on a roasting rack to allow for air flow circulation, and use convection at 25 degrees lower, if possible.
Storage
Air Fryer Rotisserie Chicken leftovers may be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.
Top Rotisserie Tip
Always remove cooked meat from the bone prior to storing to avoid a "gamey" flavor. For example, leftover chicken is perfect for making chicken salad, or adding to your favorite wrap. You can also use leftovers for soup. Occasionally, I will give a bit of leftover protein to my furry family members, however, be careful as this could lead to dangers for some animals.
