Bacon and shrimp dairy deviled eggs are such a unique twist to the classic deviled egg. Deviled eggs are an easy appetizer that never go out of style. These bite-sized treats are perfect for Easter, parties, potlucks, or just a simple snack. With their creamy texture and tangy flavor, deviled eggs are always a crowd-pleaser.

    dairy free shrimped eggs

To make deviled eggs, you first need to boil some eggs until they are cooked through. Then, you carefully peel the eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Next, you remove the yolks and mix them with some mayonnaise, mustard, and other seasonings. Once you've got a smooth and creamy mixture, you spoon it back into the egg whites, and voila - you've got deviled eggs!

The great thing about deviled eggs is that they are incredibly versatile. You can make them as simple or as fancy as you like, depending on your mood and the occasion. Add all sorts of ingredients to the yolk mixture, such as chopped herbs, pickles, bacon, or even smoked salmon. You can also experiment with different types of mustard or hot sauce to give your deviled eggs a unique twist.

    • Dijon mustard
    • Paprika
    • Sea salt
    • Shrimp
    • Garlic olive oil

    • Dairy free butter
    • Bacon
    • Green onion
    ingredients for deviled eggs

    Instructions

    • First, in a large pot, bring water to a boil. Slowly lower 6 eggs into water and boil for 11 minutes. Remove from stove, carefully drain water and fill with cold water and ice. Allow eggs to cool for 15 minutes before peeling.
    • To peel the perfect egg, first crack the egg on the counter then peel in a bowl of water. The water will help to release the shell as you peel the egg.
    • Next, slice eggs down the middle long ways and remove the yolk into a bowl. Place all other egg ingredients (minus the white) into bowl and mix well. Using a spoon or piping bag add the yolk mixture to the center of the egg whites.
    • While the deviled eggs are cooling, season the shrimp with old bay.
    • Next, heat garlic olive oil in a large skillet on medium high. (350 degrees)
    • Once the pan is hot, add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes each side until a pink color. During the last minute of cooking, add butter and mix well.
    • Once shrimp are cooled, you may add them to your eggs alongside the cooked bacon and enjoy!

Storage for the dairy free deviled eggs

    1. Refrigerate: Deviled eggs should be stored in the refrigerator. Make sure to cover them tightly with plastic wrap or place them in an airtight container to prevent them from drying out or absorbing any odors from the fridge.
    2. Serve within 2-3 days: Deviled eggs should be consumed within 2-3 days of making them. After this time, the quality and safety of the eggs may be compromised.

    Pro tip

A pro tip for making delicious deviled eggs is to start with perfectly boiled eggs. In addition, chill the deviled eggs for at least an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.

    FAQ

How to transport dairy free deviled eggs?

If you need to transport deviled eggs, use a cooler with ice packs to keep them at a safe temperature. You can also place the deviled eggs in a plastic container and cover them with a damp paper towel to prevent them from sliding around during transport.

Can I freeze the dairy-free deviled eggs?

Deviled eggs should not be frozen, as the texture and quality of the eggs will be affected.
